Getting Here
Calgary International Airport (YYC) is approximately a 30-minute drive from the Carriage House Hotel. Taxis, rideshare services, and rental cars are readily available from the airport, making travel to and from the venue simple.
Weather Information
December in Calgary is typically cold, with daytime temperatures ranging from -10°C to 0°C (14°F to 32°F). The weather can change quickly thanks to Chinook winds, which occasionally bring warmer temperatures for a day or two before winter conditions return. We recommend packing warm layers, a winter coat, gloves, and waterproof boots to stay comfortable throughout your visit.

Continue the celebration with us as we unwind in the Canadian Rockies at the award-winning Kananaskis Nordic Spa. Spend the day moving between hot pools, cold plunges, steam rooms, saunas, and relaxation areas surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery.
The Nordic Spa is adults only (18+), and reservations are strongly recommended, as December is one of the busiest times of year.

Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge
Located steps from the Nordic Spa, the Pomeroy offers beautiful mountain accommodations with restaurants, lounges, and easy access to walking trails. It's the most convenient place to stay if you're joining us for Spa Day.
After the Spa Day, Nathalie & David will continue on to Lake Louise, where they'll spend the night at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise ahead of our Ski & Snowboard Day.

Whether you're skiing, snowboarding, enjoying the scenery, or joining us for an après-ski afternoon, we'd love for you to join us for one final day together in the mountains.
Lake Louise Ski Resort offers terrain for every ability, along with breathtaking Rocky Mountain views, sightseeing opportunities, and cozy mountain lodges. We recommend booking lift tickets, rentals, and lessons in advance.

Our Recommendation: Lake Louise
Stay close to the mountain and enjoy a relaxed alpine experience. Nathalie & David will be staying at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise from Monday through Wednesday, just 12 minutes from Lake Louise Ski Resort. With hotels, lodges, and stunning mountain scenery all around, Lake Louise offers the most convenient and picturesque base for our ski day.

For a livelier mountain-town experience, Banff offers a wide range of hotels, restaurants, cafés, shops and nightlife, all set against the backdrop of Banff National Park. It's a great option if you'd like to explore the town and enjoy more activities before or after our ski day.
Banff is approximately 45 minutes from Lake Louise Ski Resort.

For a more relaxed mountain-town experience, Canmore is a beautiful option with plenty of vacation rentals, restaurants, cafés and local shops. It's a great home base if you're looking to spend time in the Rockies beyond the ski hill while staying somewhere a little quieter.
