A story already written

It all began at a Chabad Young Professionals Shabbaton in New York. Nathalie and David had both signed up for a speed dating event, each open to the possibility of finding a meaningful connection. In a room full of Jewish singles, they found themselves sitting next to each other.

David and Nathalie met at a time where they were both growing in their Judaism, and bonded over their shared vision for a future home, and values rooted in love and mutual respect. David was drawn to Nathalie’s warmth, thoughtfulness, and nurturing presence. Nathalie admired David’s ability to find the joy in the little moments, his leadership, and his calm nature. Together, they continued to build a partnership with a shared commitment to helping one another become the best versions of themselves.

The relationship grew across borders and time zones. Long-distance wasn’t always easy, but every phone call, every flight, and every goodbye only made the two more certain that this relationship was truly Besheret, meant to be.

From skiing together in Banff to celebrating Shabbat in different cities to an unforgettable adventure in Belize filled with sunshine, laughter, and new experiences, distance taught them patience and that the best things in life are worth waiting for.

Looking back, we are endlessly grateful to Hashem for bringing our paths together at exactly the right moment, and to our families, friends, and community who have loved and supported us throughout this journey.
